This summer was our 2nd Year participating in the SOUP porch garden bag community giveaway.
SOUP stands for Springfield Ohio Urban Plant Folk and they have organized this amazing event to support the community by producing and distributing Porch garden bags.
This year our volunteers produced and distributed 100s of porch garden bags and the community was very gracious.
Being that we serve a aging and minority population many elders expressed hope grateful they were for the project considering they were no longer able to tend to their personal gardens do to health issues.
We at GEO are grateful for SOUP allowing us to be involved which such an amazing opportunity to serve and we look forward to next years event.
